MASTERS OF CLASSIC FLAMENCO ART
In flamenco guitar, just like in any other music, the way of composing and performing today is the result of a long evolution, in which various guitarists have contributed their ideas, which have been collected and transformed by subsequent generations. It is especially important to know what our predecessors have done in order to build our own personal ideas upon those foundations.
Alejandro is particularly clear about this, and that's why he deeply studies the great masters in the history of guitar. What he presents in this recital is a selection of pieces from two of the great masters of flamenco guitar, Ramón Montoya and Manolo de Huelva.
His profound knowledge of these ancient touches was captured in his album "Masters of Classic Flamenco Art," recorded with the original guitars that belonged to both guitarists. Alejandro's versions, without losing the characteristics of each author's style, also provide us with his unique perspective, achieving fresh and modern interpretations.
